I know that its partly hard to choose what strand you will pick in senior highschool. I as a senior highschool student, I highly recomend to you that you must choose humanities and social sciences (HUMSS) as strand. Why? Fisrt things first in HUMSS strand they will help you to boost your confidence and boost more your communication skills, which is really important in our daily lives. Everyday we communicate to other people but sometimes were not able to do it because were shy or afraid to face different people. In HUMSS they will help you to get rid of that.In this strand this really focuses in improving your communication skills. It is true that there’s only less math in HUMSS but it doesn’t mean that it is very easy already, part of the curriculum includes introduction to world religions, Philippine and world literature, political and community development specialization subjects, and more. We study the characteristic of an individual. If you take this strand, you could be looking forward to becoming a teacher, a lawyer, a writer, a psychologist, a social worker, or a reporter someday. Yes! You read it correctly theres a lot of great work you can get if you choose HUMSS. Theres a lot of courses that you can take in college which is connected in HUMSS. If you’ve got the guts and ideals to go into politics, civic leadership, or community work, the HUMMS got you covered. You can also be involved with careers on history, public administration, social work, anthropology, environmental planning, or theology. At the HUMSS curriculum, you will deal with human experiences through which your lessons would be developed. Other fields that you could qualify are psychotherapy, market research, criminology, and military science.Do you know that according to the DepEd data, that there are 145,844 who’s enrolled in HUMSS. Then now I’m encouraging you to choose the HUMSS, but if what your heart really wants just go for it. But for me if you think that HUMSS is just easy than the rest of the strands then you got it wrong. Like other strand HUMSS is not difficult as it seems as long as you got the passion for this subject and ofcourse to the people around you.
